Become an Experience Captain

This role is key in shaping the future of WAYV. By helping manage our experience role outs on your campus,  you will play a key part in shaping the future of WAYV. You will work closely with our leadership team and help champion new initiatives.

WAYV creates data-driven pop-up shop experiences for brands out of converted trailers across the country. We target private colleges in remote locations. Providing brands unique access to this highly recognized market. We have worked with Rent the Runway, Lululemon, AT&T, and more!


Responsibilities

  • Manage the logistics of running the experience for the two days it is on campus 

  • Market the experience in the time leading up to the experience to their peers

  • Effectively communicate the essence of both Shopify and WAYV to the experience participants

  • Act as a liaison, problem solver, and facilitator from their university to the rest of the WAYV team

  • Provide clear feedback on priorities, identify lack of and establish clarity when needed, and set reasonable limits & expectations when necessary

  • Be a team player & partner with the extended team members to manage the day-to-day workflow and interface with all levels of staff

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and ownership and make decisions quickly & effectively using good judgment

Qualities

  • Must attend Babson, Bentley, Cornell, or Syracuse

  • A reliable, self-driven person with a big passion for people

  • A team player who operates without ego and has fun along the way

  • Able to anticipate needs in advance and act on them

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure, and ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they escalate

  • Show a high level of discretion and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs

  • Exhibit the highest level of personal integrity 

  • Representative mix of students, reflective of each school’s student population

  • Ideally has at least one year experience in working as a brand ambassador previously – whether on campus or prior to college 

  • Must demonstrate expert understanding of the role and responsibilities of a brand ambassador

  • Must have basic technical knowledge of our platform and the Shopify platform 

  • Understand what the WAYV and Shopify brands stand for and what the platforms offer 

  • Bonuses include speaking multiple languages and having previously worked in hospitality


This position will last the duration of the pre-experience marketing campaign and experience execution.
